North from the village is the mouth of Veleka River – the cleanest river in Bulgaria . Its spring is in the Turkish part of Strandja Mountain and the river is 147 kilometers long. It is full of fish, around 30 different species are found. Along its coasts so cold “longosa woods” are spread – they consist of exotic, thick vegetation that could be observed only along the rivers close to the Black Sea . Also some endangered of extinction species could be seen – pine tree, bamboo, yellow wild lilies, and others. The river is navigable within the range of 10 kilometers starting from the mouth and reaching the place “King’s well”.
