The complex is located in the central part Varna and is one of the symbolic buildings in the city. The hotel building is finished in 2003 and is partially build over the ruins of an early Christian tomb, part of the western necropolis of the ancient town Odesos. The tomb dates from the beginning of 5^th century AC. The architect of the building managed to keep the integrity of the unique find by embedding the ruins in the hotel's lobby.

The hotel works under the name of Business Hotel Varna until the beginning of 2006, when it becomes part of the famous hotel chain Golden Tulip.
